Believing Prayer

"Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you... Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well... pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." James 5:13-16 (NLT)

In light of current circumstances, this passage of Scripture has been on my mind in recent days. The experience of being surrounded with prayer is both comforting and assuring. It enables people of faith to trust believingly for a good outcome, despite present frustrations.

Believing prayer brings peace of mind, hope of heart and is a balm to the soul. James hit the nail on the head when he shared, "The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

Healer Lord, we believe!
